PSC Chairperson Advocates for Accountability and Excellence in Public Service
The Chairperson of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Adv. Mpeo Mahase-Moiloa, joined government leaders, development partners, and citizens at the Accountability Summit 2026, held from 1–3 July 2026 at the ‘Mathabiseng Convention Center.
Speaking during an interview on the sidelines of the summit, Adv. Mahase-Moiloa emphasized the importance of accountability, transparency, and performance in building a responsive and effective public service. She noted that forums such as the Accountability Summit provide an important platform for citizens to engage directly with government institutions, ask questions, and gain insights into progress made in delivering services and achieving national development goals.
The summit, convened by the Government of Lesotho, brought together stakeholders from across the country to reflect on government performance, share achievements, discuss challenges, and strengthen collaboration towards improved service delivery.
Adv. Mahase-Moiloa reaffirmed the Public Service Commission’s commitment to promoting professionalism, integrity, and merit-based public administration, highlighting that accountability remains central to fostering public trust and ensuring that government institutions effectively serve the people of Lesotho.
The PSC encourages all Basotho to remain actively engaged in national development discussions and continue contributing to efforts aimed at improving governance and public service delivery across the country.
