- Public Service Commission of Lesotho participated in the second annual general forum meeting in Namibia, where the main purpose was to validate the three Founding Documents which are the Constitution, the Concept Note and the Road Map. The meeting adopted and approved these important documents. Therefore, the aim is to present these documents at the 45th Ordinary Summit of SADC heads of State and Government in order to integrate and align the two bodies. SADC PSCs will enlighten the SADC organization on the importance of public service as the driving force behind the realization of the latter’s Agendas including development Agenda 2063.This PSCs meeting succeeds the first forum that was held in Cape Town, South Africa last year, where the founding documents were initialized.
The other focus was on:
- how all PSCs can collaborate and share ideas to strengthen public service governance and promote cooperation among all member states.
- Reflect on the public service in the region.
- Identify special programmes and exploration of partnership with Regional and International organizations; and
- Exploration of technology for a more professional, effective and efficient Public Service.
