The Commission’s mandate is to appoint persons to hold or act in offices in the public service (including the power to confirm appointments) and to handle other human resources related matters. These include promotions, transfers & secondment to parastatals, separations etc . The mandate resides in Section 137 (1) of the Constitution (as amended).
